Inkan Negro Premium Biochar Project
Peru
Project Overview
Biocare has entered into a partnership with Inkan Negro, a Peruvian company led by Dr. Brenton Ladd, a pioneer in the global biochar arena. Collaborating closely, Inkan Negro has harnessed biomass waste from Peruvian agribusinesses to develop innovative biochar formulations. These formulations exhibit remarkable capabilities in remediating contaminated soils, enhancing water retention, and optimising fertiliser utilisation.
Feed stock
The project’s feedstock primarily comprises municipal organic waste and food processing residues, offering a sustainable source for biochar production.
Technology
An upgrade to the small-scale kiln involves the integration of a continuous reactor system.
